What this site does
This site is a set of static pages describing Bourne Cloud's services and products. There is no login and no account system, and we run no advertising or cross-site tracking. Two things here can collect something about you, and both are described below: the analytics we ask your permission for, and the enquiry form on our contact page. That page also loads Cloudflare's Turnstile anti-spam widget, which may use its own browser storage — see "Spam protection". One further third party is involved after you press send, but not in your browser: the service that delivers your enquiry to us as an email. See "What we collect when you contact us".
Analytics, and the choice you get
We use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages people find useful and how they reached them. It is the only thing on this site that sets cookies, and it does not run until you say it can. The first time you visit, a banner asks. Nothing is loaded from Google, and no cookie is set, until you press Accept — if you press Decline, or simply ignore the banner and carry on reading, this site stores nothing on your device at all and makes no request to Google. The site works identically either way.
If you accept, Google Analytics records the pages you view, roughly where in the world you are, and what kind of device and browser you used, and it sets cookies so it can tell a returning visit from a new one. It does not receive your name or email address. We have turned off Google Signals and advertising personalisation, so what we collect is not used to build an advertising profile of you. Google processes this data on servers outside Australia, which means accepting discloses it to an overseas recipient.
Your answer is remembered in your browser's local storage — deliberately not in a cookie, so that declining leaves this site genuinely cookie-free. To change your mind later, clear this site's data in your browser settings and the banner will ask again. Clearing site data also removes the analytics cookies if you had accepted.
What we collect when you contact us
You can reach us by phone, by email, or through the enquiry form on our contact page. The form asks for your name, email address, an optional phone number and your message. It also records which page you submitted from and any campaign parameters in the link you arrived by, so we can tell what prompted the enquiry. What the form collects is delivered to us as an email through Resend, a transactional email provider we use for this one purpose. Resend processes your enquiry only to deliver it, and its servers are located outside Australia, which means your details are disclosed to an overseas recipient in the course of reaching our inbox. Our own mailbox is Microsoft 365. We use all of this only to respond to you and, where relevant, to deliver the work you've asked us about. We do not sell it, and we do not share it with third parties except where necessary to provide a service you've asked for (for example, a subcontractor engaged on your project) or where the law requires it.
Spam protection
The enquiry form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that submissions come from a person rather than an automated script. Turnstile is provided by Cloudflare and receives your IP address and basic browser information in order to make that assessment. It does not track you across sites and does not set advertising cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and client correspondence for as long as it's relevant to the relationship, and delete or archive it when it's no longer needed for that purpose or for our legal and accounting obligations.
There is one exception worth stating plainly. If the form accepts your message but the delivery step then fails, everything the form recorded is written to our hosting provider's error log — your name, email address, phone number and message, the page you submitted it from, and any campaign parameters from the link you arrived by. We do this so a delivery failure cannot silently lose your enquiry without anyone noticing. Those logs are held by Cloudflare, are retained for at most seven days and cannot be extended by us, and are not copied anywhere else. This happens only when delivery fails. When the form works normally, nothing you wrote is put in a log — only a reference number and a timestamp, which say that an enquiry happened but nothing about who sent it or what it said.
Getting in touch about your data
If you want to know what we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted, email info@bournecloud.com.au or call +61 493 493 010. We'll respond directly.
Changes to this notice
If what this site does changes — a new third-party component, a different analytics provider, or anything else that collects more than this page describes — it will be updated to say so honestly, with a new "last updated" date above. Analytics was added on September 15, 2026; before that date this site ran none and set no cookies.
